TUITION: Tuition can be paid monthly or per term. Please make checks payable to Alexis Gibbons. Tuition is due at the first lesson of every month for all the lessons that will take place during that month. If you choose to pay per term you will receive a 10% discount. Sibling discounts and sliding scales are available upon request.
INVOICES: I will provide you with an invoice via email. For monthly payments, tuition is due at the first lesson of the month. For term payments, tuition is due at the first lesson of the term.
REFUNDS: Refunds will not be given unless there are extenuating circumstances.
RESCHEDULING: Please provide 24 hours notice in case of a cancellation. Rescheduled lessons will not be granted if 24 hours notice is not given or if a student does not attend without giving notice. If I miss a lesson due to illness or other emergency, I will reschedule or give credit if a lesson cannot be rescheduled.
TERMINATION: I understand that not everyone will take piano lessons forever. If a student wishes to discontinue taking lessons, please discuss it with me first. Often, termination can be avoided by making adjustment to the student’s lesson. I am willing to work with parents and students to make appropriate changes in their lessons.
If the student still wishes to stop, please provide at least two weeks notice for any type of cancellation, whether it be permanent or temporary. When proper notice is not given, parents will be billed $40. Refunds will be given only in extenuating circumstances.
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP: An annual fee of $40 is due each September to cover costs of materials, studio upkeep and salon parties. This fee does not cover cost for the core curriculum for each student.
Parents will be required to sign a form stating that they have read and understand my Tuition Policy before lessons begin.
